LISTEN: New Mexico’s Republican governor harasses cops after hotel party draws noise complaint

Comments at the end tell the story.

LISTEN: New Mexico’s Republican governor harasses cops after hotel party draws noise complaintw Mexico Gov. Susana Martínez (R) attempted to badger police dispatchers after a holiday party last weekend held at a Santa Fe hotel drew a noise complaint, KOB-TV reported.

Authorities released audio on Friday of Martínez asking a dispatcher who called in the complaint. When the dispatcher says they cannot release that information, she replies, “Why can you not? It’s public record, give it to me.”

The audio also captures a conversation between the governor and a second person who will not tell her who complained about the gathering.

“Oh, you can tell the police but you won’t tell me?” Martínez says. “I’ll get it from the cops.”

Article: You Want War? Russia is Ready for War | OpEdNews

Article: You Want War? Russia is Ready for War | OpEdNewsNobody needs to read Zbigniew "Grand Chessboard" Brzezinski's 1997 opus to know US foreign policy revolves around one single overarching theme: prevent -- by all means necessary -- the emergence of a power, or powers, capable of constraining Washington's unilateral swagger, not only in Eurasia but across the world.
The Pentagon carries the same message embedded in newspeak: the Full Spectrum Dominance doctrine.

Syria is leading all these assumptions to collapse like a house of cards. So no wonder in a Beltway under no visible chain of command -- the Obama administration barely qualifies as lame duck -- angst is the norm.

The Pentagon is now engaged in a Vietnam-style escalation of boots on the ground across "Syraq." Fifty commandos are already in northern Syria "advising" the YPG Syrian Kurds as well as a few "moderate" Sunnis. Translation: telling them what Washington wants them to do. The official White House spin is that these commandos "support local forces" (Obama's words) in cutting off supply lines leading to the fake "Caliphate" capital, Raqqa.

It’s Time to Stop “Supporting Our Troops”  :  Information Clearing House - ICH

It’s Time to Stop “Supporting Our Troops”  :  Information Clearing House - ICH"Over the long haul, supporting our troops has resulted in the United States being the most warring, aggressive nation on earth, bar none. As we’re about to enter 2016, our ultraviolent country will be killing other human beings somewhere on this planet for 223 out of the last 240 total years the US has been in existence. That’s 93% of our time as a nation-turned-Empire we’ve been destroying human life. That’s certainly nothing to be proud of. Yet it’s “our troops” who’ve been the murdering culprit. No compassionate, rational person could possibly place blindly obedient support behind such rampantly wanton disregard and contempt for fellow human life."

Article: Animal, Worker and Environmental Abuse? Tyson Tops The List | OpEdNews

Article: Animal, Worker and Environmental Abuse? Tyson Tops The List | OpEdNews"If you eat chicken from Tyson Foods, you may be unknowingly supporting some of the worst animal abuse, including birds bred to grow so fast they're in constant pain, extreme violence by desensitized workers, and gruesome deaths at the slaughterhouse," said the 30 Rock star Alec Baldwin this week.

He is right. Since 2003 when whistle-blower Virgil Butler at the Tyson's Grannis, Arkansas plant exposed birds regularly scalded alive through recent cruelty exposes by Mercy For Animals, the animal abuse at Tyson is brazen and undeterred by exposes.

But animal abuse is only part of Tyson's abusive track record. There is also worker and environmental abuse, abuse of consumers through risky products and charges of wrongdoing at the state and federal level.
