We Have Been Watching the Same Movie About America’s Wars for 75 Years | The Nation

In the age of the all-volunteer military and an endless stream of war zone losses and ties, it can be hard to keep Homeland enthusiasm up for perpetual war. After all, you don’t get a 9/11 every year to refresh those images of the barbarians at the airport departure gates. In the meantime, Americans are clearly finding it difficult to remain emotionally roiled up about our confusing wars in Syria and Iraq, the sputtering one in Afghanistan and various raids, drone attacks and minor conflicts elsewhere.

Fortunately, we have just the ticket, one that has been punched again and again for close to a century: Hollywood war movies (to which the Pentagon is always eager to lend a helping hand). American Sniper, which started out with the celebratory tagline “the most lethal sniper in U.S. history” and now has the tagline “the most successful war movie of all time,” is just the latest in a long line of films that have kept Americans on their war game. Think of them as war porn, meant to leave us perpetually hyped up. Now, grab some popcorn and settle back to enjoy the show.

The “Exceptional” U.S. Suffers Crushing Defeat in Debaltsevo    :  Information Clearing House - ICH

In less than a year, the United States has toppled the democratically-elected government of Ukraine, installed a Washington-backed stooge in Kiev, launched a bloody and costly war of annihilation on Russian-speaking people in the East, thrust the economy into a downward death spiral, and reduced the nation to an anarchic, failed state destined to endure a vicious fratricidal civil war for as far as the eye can see.The “Exceptional” U.S. Suffers Crushing Defeat in Debaltsevo    :  Information Clearing House - ICH

Will 'Mistress Europe' Show the American the Door?   :  Information Clearing House - ICH

Will 'Mistress Europe' Show the American the Door?   :  Information Clearing House - ICHFebruary 20, 2015 "ICH" - It's an age-old, tragic relationship. The mistress and her gadfly, selfish male-benefactor, who is really not a benefactor, but instead is more like her jealous, despotic jailer. Oh yeah, sure, he festoons her with cute presents now and again, chocolates, stockings, perfumes and the like. He also professes ardent devotion and vows to protect her. In return she gratifies his basic needs. But when it gets down to it, the mistress is dispensable, a plaything that is brutally discarded when he is done.

That pretty much sums up the relationship between the United States and Europe. Macho Washington is always reassuring the Europeans of his undying love and chivalrous defence from all sorts of supposed enemies. But it's a pathetic relationship, fundamentally, of unequals. Europe is expected to link arms and parade for the master on occasion. But if she so much as attempts to assert her rights, she is slapped down with boorish contempt. "Hey, babe, shut your mouth and fix me another drink."

Sanctions Should Be Imposed on the U.S. : Information Clearing House - ICH

Sanctions Should Be Imposed on the U.S. : Information Clearing House - ICHFebruary 16, 2015 "ICH" - Another year, another set of coups that we can expect to be administered by the West.
This year, it is all beginning in February. First the onslaught against Argentina and following that comes yet another coup against Venezuela, and its democratically elected, progressive government.

The coup has been thwarted. Venezuela prevailed!

As Telesur reported:

Nicolas Maduro announced Thursday that the government had thwarted a coup attempt which was being coordinated by Venezuela’s right-wing opposition with the support of the U.S. government.

Just the day before the revelations, opposition leaders Leopoldo Lopez, Maria Corina Machado and Antonio Ledezma released a “transition plan” which involved privatization of the country’s oil, deregulation of the economy and accords with “international financial institutions” including the International Monetary Fund.

The army stood firmly by the government of President Maduro. Most of Latin America, including UNASUR, expressed both their solidarity and support.

Article: Free Syrian Army Sold Kayla Mueller to ISIS | OpEdNews

Article: Free Syrian Army Sold Kayla Mueller to ISIS | OpEdNewsKayla Mueller lived a life full of devotion, helping others. Her passion for humanitarian ideals led her to Turkey. I believe that decision to go to Turkey is responsible for her death at the hands of Radical Islamic terrorists.

The Turkish government has been sponsoring Radical Islamic terrorists since 2011. They have given them free transportation, food, weapons and support of every type. This has been a Turkish domestic and foreign policy since 2011. President Erdogan is directly responsible for this radicalization of Turkey. The citizens of Turkey do not necessarily agree or support this policy. Some are making huge fortunes off of the radical Islamic terrorists all along the Syrian border, but most Turkish citizens are Muslims who have long held secular political views. AtaTurk, the father of post-Ottoman Turkey, molded Turkish society into a strictly secular state: forward looking, and western gazing.

The Vineyard of the Saker: Behind the Great Western Firewall Is the Ugly Truth

The Vineyard of the Saker: Behind the Great Western Firewall Is the Ugly TruthI worked in the corporate world for 25 years before becoming a teacher. Like almost all of us, I felt compelled to spout “the imperial party line” of the West’s tightly scripted version of history and current events. In fact, until 2010, I still believed much of it was true. Conformity is society’s most powerful control mechanism. Those who don’t go along to get along can pay a very heavy price. Just ask Malcolm X, JFK, RFK, MLK, Oscar Romero, Gandhi, Ché Guevara, the four American nuns raped and killed in El Salvador, Jesus Christ and millions of other (less) well known martyrs, whose lives were and still are being cut short, or imprisoned, beaten, raped, tortured, bankrupted, ostracized, or made stateless or jobless. Just in the last week alone are the cases of Sami Al-Arian, Barrett Brown and Mohamedou Ould Slahi’s Guantánamo Diary, which brilliantly leaves in line after line of blacked out text – pages and pages of censored truth. Makes you proud to be an American, doesn’t it? There are many multitudes like them who are ignored by the mainstream media. And we know that if they are not objectively reported on in the New York Times, Washington Post or on CNN and Fox, then they don’t exist and they don’t matter.
