Mainstream Media Depictions Clash with Reality: "Iran Was Not What We Had Thought"

Mainstream Media Depictions Clash with Reality: "Iran Was Not What We Had Thought": "Although the relentless and incessant spates of mainstream media's psychological warfare have turned Iran into a hazardous and insecure region in the eyes of global public opinions, thousands of Western tourists 'take the risk' of traveling to Iran each year to behold in person the concealed and withheld realities of the peaceful and magnificent Iran which a hawkish leader had idiotically categorized as a part of the so-called 'Axis of Evil'."

Soldier in Iraq Loses Home Over $800 Debt | Mother Jones

Soldier in Iraq Loses Home Over $800 Debt | Mother Jones: "Michael Clauer is a captain in the Army Reserve who commanded over 100 soldiers in Iraq. But while he was fighting for his country, a different kind of battle was brewing on the home front. Last September, Michael returned to Frisco, Texas, to find that his homeowners' association had foreclosed on his $300,000 house—and sold it for $3,500. This story illustrates the type of legal quagmire that can get out of hand while soldiers are serving abroad and their families are dealing with the stress of their deployment. And fixing the mess isn't easy."

Building What? How SCADs Can Be Hidden in Plain Sight by David Ray Griffin

ICH"At 5:21 PM on 9/11, Building 7 of the World Trade Center collapsed, even though it had not been hit by a plane – a fact that is important because of the widespread acceptance of the idea, in spite of its scientific absurdity, that the Twin Towers collapsed because of the combined effect of the impact of the airliners plus the ensuing jet-fuel-fed fires. The collapse of World Trade Center 7 (WTC 7) thereby challenges the official account of the destruction of the World Trade Center, according to which it was accomplished by al-Qaeda hijackers, even if one accepts the government’s scientifically impossible account of the Twin Towers. This fact was recently emphasized in the title of a review article based on my 2009 book, The Mysterious Collapse of World Trade Center 7,1 by National Medal of Science-winner Lynn Margulis: “Two Hit, Three Down – The Biggest Lie.”2"

“It’s BP’s Oil” | Mother Jones

“It’s BP’s Oil” | Mother Jones: "Elmer's Island Wildlife Refuge, even after all the warnings, looks worse than I imagined. Pools of oil black and deep stretch down the beach; when cleanup workers drag their rakes along an already-cleaned patch of sand, more auburn crude oozes up. Beneath the surface lie slimy washed-up globules that, one worker says, are 'so big you could park a car on them.'"

OpEdNews - Article: Is there such a thing as an ex-atheist?

OpEdNews - Article: Is there such a thing as an ex-atheist?: "Many more simply don't understand what 'atheist' means. They think if they didn't attend church for a while or think about religion, they were atheist. Or, if they went through a bad spell, (did 'bad things' like stealing, etc) they were atheist during that time - if they got 'angry' with god for not giving them what they wanted, they were atheist during that time. No, they were not. They were angry or lapsed or carefree theists. Upon deeper conversation, though, it always comes to the point that they never thought that no god exists, they just weren't actively worshipping one (or more). And consider - how is it possible to be angry with something you don't think exists?"
